It is to my understanding that Thailand is forbidden from taxing US Social Security income. Is there any difference on how the money is remitted into Thailand such as a monthly remittance or an annual lump sum transfer?

US Social Security is tax exempt under the USA-Thailand DTA. There are no differences between if you remit monthly or annually.
